ABOUT ME

I was raised on a Farm in Sunderland and after University I married Terry, a local girl and the love of my life. We Landed good jobs – worked hard – bought our home and raised our daughter, Laurie and our son, Andrew. We currently enjoy doting on our grandson, Logan, who is 5.

We have enjoyed our Community – the schools, recreations, church, social and volunteer activities - including coaching minor sports, music, the Lindsay Public Library Board; volunteering on affordable housing initiatives as well as the Lindsay Economic Development Commission.

Lindsay is a terrific place to Live Work and Play with some of the most natural beauty in Ontario – close to the GTA and easy to access.

As our community is evolving and growing – we need to ensure that economic growth is balanced and planned; with the amenities, environment, and infrastructure to attract residential/commercial growth; businesses, professionals, and more doctors!

Our councillor must be knowledgeable, skillful, and sensitive to the reality in which all of our people live – so that we may grow and thrive TOGETHER – leaving no one behind.

I will listen to you – your perspective is important.

I will work hard for you and in the best interests of Ward 5 and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

I would appreciate your vote for Councillor of Ward 5

TESTIMONIALS

“I have known Mark for 25 years. As our municipal councillor, Mark will work hard on our behalf, and is committed to fairness and integrity. I am pleased to endorse his candidacy for Ward 5.”
Dave Illman - Radio and Podcast Provider, former Program Director/Morning Show Host

“Mark has an extensive career and background that gives him an understanding of municipal policies and how to effectively make them work. He asks for input and cares deeply about the future of our City. He is very committed to working hard for not only the people in Ward 5, but also to advance good things within the City and beyond. I am pleased to provide an endorsement for Mark Doble, Ward 5 City of Kawartha Lakes.”
Marlene Morrison Nicholls – Business Leader/Community Advocate

“Having lived, worked and raised my family in the City of Kawartha Lakes for more than 40 years, I have been privileged to know Mark and the many capacities in which he has been locally involved. He knows and cares about the priorities for our community. More importantly, he has the capacity to give his time, energy and expertise towards those matters. He will work tirelessly for our community now and in the future.”
          Mike Puffer - Business/Community Leader
“As a boy, Mark taught me piano. As a fellow political candidate, Mark offered me tireless support and encouragement. As a community leader, Mark can always be counted on to bolster good causes. So, I know from personal experience, Mark demonstrates the perfect trifecta for a political hopeful: patience, perseverance and civic-minded initiative. These days, more is needed from our municipal electees; traditionally-entrenched representation no longer suffices. We need fresh-thinking, hard-working and brainy councillors, willing to step beyond the party line to get things done the right way amidst our ever-expanding populace. We need Mark.”
Jason Ward - Business and Community Leader
